After about an hour or two Outlook just connects back up again and is working fine. This happens regularly but intermittently and never happens to the four staff at the same time (usually only one of them loses connection at a time). Outlook clients are 20 so not client specific I could connect to all other network drives The VPN tunnel was active with no errors in the log All that time, Outlook was NOT connected and wouldn't connect to the Exchange serverĪll other staff in the Scotland office did NOT have a problem, it was only that one computer I uninstalled all the updates, and am still getting the same problem after the restart. I'm getting limited or no connectivity notice. I don't restart my computer often, and don't know exactly when the updates were dated (after 11/30 in any case). I could ping the Exchange server and got a reply (via name and IP address) DNS seems to have been working fine (cleared the DNS cache on the laptop and tried again) Same thing happened to me today, after a 7 update XP automatic install. Totally agree with you, but what if it doesn't work even after applying these tactics. I have checked Program files and the iexplore.exe app is still there.I can't even connect to localhost, and I should be able to as I have IIS installed.thanks in advance When I click on Internet Explorer Icon.the egg timer icon.appears for about 2 seconds then fades.there is no Error page telling me I cannot connect to the internet. Has anyone got a clue what happened, and what service I need to enable to get the Server 2003 back on to the Shared connection. My Exchange installation went perfect after a few gliches. My MAIN computer is not affected, as I haven't added it to the domain of the Server. Use event viewer to examine the event log for details" "At least one service or driver failed during system startup. Last night I installed Exchange Server 2003 and I recieved the following message at logon I have recently installed server 2003 on one of my computers and created a shared connection to it from my MAIN computer, which enabled it to acess the Internet.
