6/9/2023 0 Comments Download ikonpassIt was only once I got into my new Ikon user account that I was met with the horror of what just occurred. I purchased an Ikon Pass (full) lastnight seeing no Blackout Dates advertised repeatedly, with both resorts covered. I am traveling to Big Sky in late December, and then Jackson the following week. Unless they figure out a way to fix the reservation system, they should issue refunds with the current system the pass isn't the same product as was advertised. Ikon for their part says they'll issue partial refunds if a resort closes, and because of this broken reservation system Big Sky, among others, is effectively closed to Ikon Pass holders for half the season. If resorts want to be a part of Ikon, they should be required to allow Ikon Pass holders to make reservations as long as they're selling day tickets for that day. Resorts are instead specially designing reservation systems to exclude Ikon Pass holders. The advantage of Ikon Pass is that it works like a multi-resort season pass, yet it's impossible to use the pass for weeks on end. If you ask Big Sky about this, they'll tell you to buy $180 day tickets through them if you want to ski there. Already, half of January and February is fully booked for Ikon Pass holders. Big Sky is one resort doing this they barely released any Ikon Pass spots, reserving the vast majority of their capacity for tickets bought through them. Many resorts are abusing the reservation system to keep Ikon Pass holders from visiting and to sell more tickets directly through them.
